Yui left Japan for Paris in 2000. She is working both with illustrations and her knitted art and she collaborates with the French children-wear shop Bonton on a regular basis. The brand Repetto has used her art in their advertising campaigns and in May 2009 she was part of an "atelier de coloriage" at Colette. Her work has been exposed both in Paris and in Japan and she has also contributed in magazines like Milk, Dong and THE/END. In October 2009 she presented a collaboration with the shoe-designer Michel Perry.
